I hope I’ve convinced you to buy this book, but if you’ve read any other book you’ll know that I’m no longer a book whore. I’m sorry that I’ve been so quiet about this lately. I decided to start this project after I read Peter Coates’ book, “The Three Levels of Self-Awareness”, which explains how our thoughts, beliefs, and actions impact our behavior.
Its about how we think and what we think we’re doing. It teaches us how we behave and how we behave when we think we’re not doing anything wrong. I’ve always had a problem with this because I always think that if I’m not doing something good/bad then I should give into whatever impulse or urge I have and try to go with my gut. This book shows that there are more options than “gut instinct.
I started reading this book in January of 2004. I bought it after seeing the trailer for it. I think it is one of the best self-awareness books Ive ever read.
The book teaches us to look through our own mind and ask ourselves questions like “How did I get into this situation?” and “What is my purpose?” Most people find when they ask themselves these questions, they realize they were not doing anything wrong and the impulse or urge to self-flagellate is usually gone.
I have to admit, I feel like I could have written this book myself. It is really a great book. Its purpose is to show that if you are willing to look at the answers to the self-awareness questions, you will find out the answer. The book then goes on to teach you things like how to be a better person, what you should do if you are feeling down, how to change what you think and feel, and so much more.
It is one of those books that is just plain fascinating. It is so much fun to read. It is also so insightful that it is almost like a manual for change. If you don’t like books, well you can always skip around and read it in sections. What I like more though is the idea that the book is not just a list of things I’ve learned, but a list of the things I’ve done. There is so much that I can learn in a few pages.
Well, I don’t know if you are familiar with this book, but it is so much more than that. I have learned so much from it. You can pick it up and read it in the first chapter and I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a book that will allow them to have the freedom to really think about what they are feeling and think about what they are really feeling.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to be more present with themselves and to understand themselves, and to just be free to do that with more ease and less self-consciousness. I recommend it to everyone because it can lead you to places youve never been before.
If there is a book that could change your life, peter coates would be my #1 pick. Even though, I can relate to his life, I would still recommend it to anyone who has ever felt like they aren’t “in the moment” yet.
peter coates, founder of the Coates Method, has spent time with a therapist and has learned a lot about himself. He has taught his clients about the importance of being present and free from the “self” that we all have within. Having the ability to be present with yourself and others can lead you in a lot of amazing ways.
