In an era when few people could afford to buy a recording, the recording industry was the only option. The artists and recording studios would give themselves a little bit too much credit for their success, but in fact they were mostly just starting out in this new world of records, and that is where their careers took off.
Although artists like the bluesman Louis Armstrong probably had a much better chance of success in their early years of recording, it was a very different era for them. As they struggled to break in to the market, they were able to work with a lot of musicians who were doing much of what they were doing.
In the early days of the recording industry, bands like Louis Armstrong were a dime a dozen. You had the big names like Louis Armstrong, Louis Armstrong and His Horns, Bix Beiderbecke, and the New Orleans Rhythm Kings, all of whom were big stars. But no one knew what to expect from them.
The fact that most of the artists were so unknown made it almost impossible for them to be successful, which is why they would hire the very best musicians to write most of their compositions. The music they got hired to write was much more than just the tunes. Most of the time, these musicians were working with people who were already in the business of creating music. By the time they were recording and releasing their music, most of the bands were already well known.
It’s true that there were a few exceptions, but very few of them are on record. The ones that are, are the ones that are the very best musicians. They wrote the music that would later be recorded by the groups that would eventually become famous. The man himself once said that his first job was as a butcher in Chicago. It seems that he would have been a pretty good singer and a hell of a great jazz musician, but that’s a whole different story. It was a very long time ago though.
When I was in college, I was asked to be the pianist at a party for a fraternity brother. I thought that I would love to be in the middle of the band, but I had no idea what I was in for. It was a huge party at a campus hotel, and I was so scared that I couldn’t even sing. It was a very awkward situation, because I was scared that if I sang I would be a complete failure.
I don’t think I would have been very good at singing if I had not undergone a serious musical education. I was also a terrible piano player, because I never really learned to play the piano, so I never got the chance to practice as much as I would have liked. My singing was always pretty basic, so I never really did any other types of music. I think I can safely say that I have never been a major jazz or blues singer.
