Today, I’m a department director for a mid-sized company. This may seem like a contradiction at first, but, despite the fact that I’m still a director, I’m also a new contractor. I’m starting a new role in November and I’ll be working with a small group of contractors, so I’m still learning a lot about how business works and how to make this transition as easy as possible.

And that’s a good thing because when you work with your clients the whole time, you learn how to be a fun company, like a fun company that enjoys the energy of a good party. You can’t learn how to be a fun company without having fun with your clients.
